There is a common perception about carpet cleaners in that it’s hard to get a good deal out of us. When in reality this couldn’t be further from the truth. I want to provide a good deal to my clients, but to do that I’m not willing to offer bad service and an inferior clean. If you want cheap service, it won’t be good or high quality. It will probably fast and terrible quality. All is not lost though as you can find a good carpet cleaning deal in Sydney.
Here are a few tips to get great value out of your carpet cleaning:
1) Multiple Rooms
If you’ve just spilled red wine on the carpet and only need that room cleaned it’s probably going to see fairly pricey. It will seem that way because on a per room basis doing only one room makes the multiples seem very high. You are essentially paying for the work mans time to come out and see you, prepare and clean and packup. If you request multiple rooms or the whole house then the cost per room goes drastically down. Especially true for carpet steam cleaning.
2) Move The Furniture
Some carpet cleaners will move the furniture for you ‘at no additional cost’. Rest assured though you pay for that additional cost in higher cleaning prices. If you move all of your furniture out of the way our cleaners can move through the home much faster. The faster we move the more jobs we can complete and the less we can charge per room. At our company we pass those savings onto our customers.
3) Be Flexible
If you’re calling us because you need a clean that afternoon, you aren’t giving us many options. Many people wait until the last minute before ordering a clean for a party or family function. If we need to rush over there from the other side of town there will be a premium charged placed on that call (we express this to the customer over the phone before they commit). If you are more flexible with your openings we can move around more efficiently and come up with a time that suits both of us.
4) Confirm All Prices
I hate to say it but in our industry there are definitely some not so ethical operators. A common trick is to quote a bargain price for a couple of rooms and then sting you with extra fess once they’ve already started. Try to avoid this type of interaction. Whichever cleaner you choose make sure they confirm the exact price before they even start the job. That way you’ll avoid any nasty surprises.
5) Shop Around
We probably shouldn’t be telling you this but make sure you shop around. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean go for the cheapest price. Shop around to get a sense of the price, type of operators and their temperament on the phone. Decide on a cleaner based on building a rapport might mean you spend a bit more but get someone that’s just right for you.
